Using a centuries-old American technique for making rugs, the Giusti Urn is hand-formed with cable that is woven on cast-iron machines from the 1940s, a finely skilled sculpting process done by expert sewers.
The favorite in the woven vessel collection, the Giusti Urn is inspired by the mosaic volute-krater vases made by the Giustiniani Factory of Naples between 1826 and 1830. At about 16", they are monumental in pairs (say, flanking a fireplace or in the front hall-- I do love symmetry) without being too serious.
16" tall, 13" wide at the mouth, and 20" wide volute-to-volute.
